Background
Hello, my name is Aditya Akkapeddi. My journey began in music, where I earned a Master’s in Music Composition for Film & TV from Kingston University, UK, and a Bachelor’s in Vocal Performance from Middlesex University. Music taught me creativity, storytelling, and how to connect with audiences — skills I now bring into design to create meaningful, user-centered experiences.
Why UX Design?
While working at companies such as Pixetron, Harman, and Casio, I found myself drawn to solving problems and improving product experiences. At Casio, I engaged directly with customers, gathering feedback and identifying pain points — an early exposure to research-driven design. That experience inspired me to transition into UX, where I could merge creativity with problem-solving.
Since then, I’ve focused on product design and research, leading projects that combine user research, prototyping, and accessibility best practices. I’ve helped organizations like Equifax, Cigna, Lennar, and Precision Technologies design products that are not only visually intuitive but also backed by data-driven insights that improve engagement and usability.
